In each round, a fascinating array of five objects will go under the hammer. All items are prominently displayed for all players to scrutinize. The bidding commences with the leftmost object, proceeding to the one on the right. A spirited round of bidding unfolds for each object.

Here's the twist: every object possesses two gold values – one for authenticity and one for a replica. The revelation of an item's authenticity only occurs post-purchase. Yet, before the bidding frenzy begins, you can enlist the aid of an expert to assess if the object(s) is a genuine article or a replica. The initial round witnesses simultaneous bids. Following this, the player conserving the most credits becomes the profiteer. When a profiteer exists, subsequent rounds of bidding unfold in clockwise order, with the profiteer having the last say. Bids are made discreetly, though players can ascertain how many cards are used in each bid.

The objects encompass four captivating categories: potions, familiars, gear, and magic items. Winning more items within the same category garners you bonus points (dependent on the game's duration). Gear items come in sets of two or three. Upon amassing a complete set, the total value of that set is doubled. Therefore, a strategic approach is encouraged, aiming to secure as many items within the same category as possible. However, bear in mind that your opponents may be aware of your preferences. To overcome this, trading with fellow players is permissible. You can barter objects or acquire them from other players by exchanging credits. This means you'll navigate the remainder of the game with fewer credits to spend, while your opponent accumulates more than the rest. Yet, successfully completing a collection can ultimately lead you to victory!
